Custom Shuttle Status/Warp speed trial notes

Posted on 22 Jul 2020 @ 2:34am by Ensign Kelley Brevo

Work on the shuttle has been going well. The main body of it has been completed by engineers on their off time. We have performed some stress testing on current hull configuration and have added extra plating to the pylons. While it was within the standard limits, we have decided as a build team to add some extra armor to give the entire hull a more uniform stress tolerance. Control systems and consoles are currently being installed along with the foundations for the dual-warp core.

We have also been preparing to do full repairs of the secondary shuttle that is being brought in. While we have not had a chance to look the other shuttle, we are told the shuttle will be transported to the shuttle bay under it's own power. More on this as information becomes avalible.

On a side note, I have put in suggested work orders reguarding the warp speed trials. All areas that were experiencing stress fractures within the test are suggested to have duranium reinforcement installed to take the strain off of the "Sifs" allowing the extra power to be put towards other areas that suffered from power loss. A portable generator for sickbay has already been installed to keep the sickbay functioning off grid in an emergency situation. I have also put in my work order request to add a generator to the area that will be used as a secondary sickbay in the event of an emergency to be able to maintain medical facilities in the event of such an emergency. The crew is still going over the data, which there is quite a bit, so other work orders may be put in to increase the chances of pushing the bounds of our Consolidated Fusion's version 8 Standard Matter/Anti-Matter Reaction Drive.
