*The Yellow Alert klaxon is still blaring, light are dimmed as Kyr steps into his quarters, he makes his way to the desk console and holding his tricorder, begins to transfer the data that he stole from the Romulan ship into the desk console while hitting record for a personal log…*

Personal Log: Stardate Stardate 40883.7, Ensign Kyr th’Vovass, U.S.S. Boston

I just got back from the Romulan vessel, it appears that we are in a tense standoff with another Romulan vessel, I am downloading the data that I was able to….recover from the…, believed at the time to be derelict, Romulan T’liss warbird. I don’t have the science background to explain it but somehow their singularity core malfunctioned or something and suspended their crew into a.. time bubble or something like that. While this data is twenty years out of date it should still be quite valuable to Starfleet Intelligence I would imagine…

I also have brought in Ensign Joe Harper and Lieutenant J.G. T’Char Le'el on Project Stardust, I have made available to them the project data and a sample of the bio-mimetic gel… hopefully more eyes on the subject will generate new leads, I feel like I am at the edge of a sheer ice cliff, trying to keep my balance…hopefully I can find something at Farius Prime, it was referenced in the project data. However, we discovered a concerning bit of news, the presence of a Romulan vessel at Farius….it would be a disaster of epic proportions if T’mok has turned to them for support or if she hands them the perfected bioweapon….I just can’t shake this feeling about Farius. I feel apprehension at what we will uncover there, and with the possibility of the Romulans being involved I can’t help but feel its somehow all connected….perhaps it is just my paranoia speaking. Velires…she is T’mok’s protégé and her right hand…I don’t know how I will react to seeing her again, there are no official charges and I don’t have the jurisdiction or justification to send her into the brig…I will do my duty, I will avenge those killed but could I harm Velires if I had to? I have no doubt that she would do anything to achieve her goals, she did orchestrate the lab “accidents” but do I have what it takes to pull the trigger if necessary to stop her? I must have no hesitation…

*Kyr closes his eyes and begins to meditate, visions of his death flashing/filling his mind, out loud he recites:*

“Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day when one's body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease or committing seppuku at the death of one's master. And every day without fail one should consider himself as dead.”

*Kyr pauses for a moment, letting out a deep breath, then he nods*
