*Huey Lewis & The News is playing in the background as Joe searches through a cabinet and pulls out a bottle of whiskey along with a shot glass*

You know, I've done some crazy things before during my time on the Merigold but I think this last mission tops em all. It reminded me of something out of those old John Wayne movies. Our mission was to extract the XO from where she was being held captive, I thought it was gonna be one of those damn re-education centers but nope. It was a TRAIN of all things...

*He sits down on his bed with a sigh and scratches Thor who is sleeping curlled up in a ball next to him. He then pours a drink in the glass and downs a shot.*

Ah, the only downside about going to the Common during yellow alert is no real alcohol, or Taka is probably just preventing me from drinking it all. Back to the mission...with Lieutenant Rynn's excellent piloting she kept that runabout steady. Fox and Kilrai were in charge of the away team, the moment we found a good spot on the train, thats when things got really crazy. Of course knowing me, I was the first one to jump out of the Mystic once we got the green light.

*He pours another shot and stares at it*

Agrin and Kilrai worked their magic once we all got inside. I had Auray, Tharin, and T'Rena take cover near the door. The power went out, as soon as the door opened we immediately came underfire. Without hesitating we opened fire and managed to take a few guards out before they retreated further back into the train. Auray and I led the charge taking out the guards along the way. Once we got to where Raj was being held, I, along with Auray, Liarro, and Lieutenant Kilrai went to secure the front. We managed to secure it...along with me getting shot at in the process.

*He takes a sip of his shot and rubs his shoulder* I hate to say it...but thats the third time I've been shot now. First two times were during my time on the Merigold...

*The music then changes to the cover that Joe recieved from T'Pora and he smiles*

Well, I got lucky, as Qi'nii told me I'm either tougher than I really am or the cover took the brunt of that blast. Next time we get into a firefight I'm gonna do my best to NOT get shot...
