The tall ensign stood there with his gaze looking out the window and a PADD in hand. He stared at the planet Noth'ka in which the Boston was currently orbiting. His shirt was off and he felt somewhat exhausted after the visit to the deadly surface. By deadly, the entire wildlife practically wanted to kill anyone or anything that looked at it the wrong way. Joe sighs heavily as he half glances at the PADD noticing a missed call from T'Pora. His fingers tap the back of the device for a moment and he returns the call.
A few seconds later T'Pora's face appeared on the display and Joe smiled. "Hey Peaches." He says with a hint of exhaustion in his voice.
The vulcan-human hybrid smiles then raises a slight eyebrow. "You look exhausted, long day? I hear the Boston is out in Tathi space."
Joe gives her a subtle nod "A long yet...eventful day. Sounds like word gets around quick." He turns to a larger screen on the wall of his room and swipes his PADD. Doing so transferred T'Pora to the bigger display.
"It does, I hear many things in my line of work." T'Pora glances back for a second as laughter in the background could be heard.
"You with Gran and the others?" Joe asked as he set the PADD down smiling slightly as he recognized the voices.
The woman smiles. "Yes, your stepmother has offered to teach me how to make Andorian cuisine while I'm staying at your grandparents house."
Joe chuckles as he strolls to his closet and pulls out a pair of sweats along with a t-shirt. "How's that coming?" He half glances at the screen as he begins to change clothes.
T'Pora giggles softly "Surprisingly well...admittedly. I may have burned a few things at first but that's part of the learning process." She moves into another room where it is much quieter. After Joe finishes changing into a fresh set of clothes he gives T'Pora his full attention.
"A while ago, Lieutenant Kilrai managed to make Andorian Nachos which I must say were pretty damn good. Think you can handle that level of cooking?" He folds his arms with a smirk and leans against the bulkhead.
T'Pora nods "I'm up for the challenge, and I wouldn't mind learning a thing or two from her. You /have/ been telling me the Lieutenant is the best cook on the ship." She pauses for a moment. "What's it like so far in Tathi space?" The woman sits down on a chair and leans forward waiting for an answer.
The ensign chuckles, moving over to his desk and swings his legs over the chair to sit down. "It's fascinating, Seva'ra is probably the most peaceful world I've set foot on. The atmosphere of that planet has a sense of calmness to it." He then turns facing the window glancing at Noth'kra.
"As for our current location...Noth'kra." Joe turns back to face T'Pora as he rubs his temple. "Let's just say it's the opposite of the Counselor's home world."
The woman nods slowly. "I've heard that the wildlife can be very aggressive there, is it true?"
Joe sighs "Yeah...we almost lost Lieutenant T'Char while down there. I stayed within the safe zone along with some of the other crew. May have lost some of my pride after loosing a sparring match in hand-to-hand combat. The Notharan's are excellent warriors, I'll take another chance to learn a few moves from them again."
T'Pora smiles "I'm glad you and the crew are safe aboard the Boston."
The ensign nods "Things got a little intense when I had to evac the expedition team from the forest with a shuttle. The magnetic field of that planet makes transporters useless. We had to high tail it over to their position...luckily we got there in time. It certainly gets your blood pumping while on a planet like that."
T'Pora glances to her left after Joe's grandmother called her name. She looks at Joe and sighs. "Well, I'm needed outside, your Gran is trying to keep me busy. And Joe...please be safe out there."
The ensign nods "I'll do my best. Tell the family I said hi!" With that T'Pora smiles and ends the call. Joe sighs as he glances at the PADD. He taps the red dot in the corner thus ending the recording.
