U.S.S. Esperanza (NCC-47329) is a Mercy-class hospital ship in service with Starfleet in the 24th Century.

During the Cardassian Wars, the Esperanza saw regular service along the border between the Federation and the Cardassian Union. In early 2362, it was briefly re-assigned to rendezvous with the Ambassador-class starship U.S.S. Boston to transfer approximately 2,000 passengers recently evacuated from the stricken luxury starliner S.S. Astral Jewel, which had fallen under attack by pirates affiliated with the Orion Syndicate and was forced to be abandoned. After the rendezvous the Boston continued on its mission to Helaspont Station, while the Esperanza transported the evacuated passengers to the Starbase 215.
