The Mandol Pabrin attached and downed a Federation runabout on loan to the Mariposas in late 2367. Through data gathered on the pirate vessel, Dragon, and other means, the crew of the U.S.S. Boston was able to identify and track the vessel where it was discovered that they were working in conjunction with a group of rogue Cardiassian officers, under the leadership of Gul Ranell, unhappy with the recent peace treaty with the Federation.

The ship and its crew were apprehended in early 2368 by a joint taskforce of Cardassian Galor-class warships and the USS. Boston.
