General Overview		Dimitris could definitely be described as a joker. He is very friendly to anyone he meets - even if conventions state he should be more reserved. As such, some people find him a little noisy and over-the-top. He always means well, however, and doesn't want to make an enemy of anyone.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Dimitris' strengths lie in his friendly demeanour and ability to solve practical problems. Whilst he has always struggled with mathematics, this hasn't stopped him from being able to visualise how things should work and thus find unique, creative solutions to problems. Sometimes, his desire to be jovial and funny gets in the way of being the most productive, however, and he can be a poor manager of time.
Ambitions		Dimitris would love to one day command a starship. He isn't afraid to dream big, but recognises that this must come one step at a time. Having only very recently graduated from the academy, his primary ambition at the moment is to gain friends aboard the Boston and to have fun whilst serving to the best of his ability.

Personal History		Dimitris Anastasiades was born to Katerina and Nicos Anastasiades in 2339, as the first of three children. He has two sisters named Maria and Evanthe, who are two and five years younger than him, respectively. His mother, Katerina works as a design engineer for the urban transport network in Nicosia which was what sparked Anastasiades’ interest in figuring out how things work. At school, Anastasiades achieved fairly average grades in his academic work, but was naturally gifted when it came to more practical matters. As well as this, he developed an interest in drama and theatre, and spent many summers working on performances with friends. Upon graduating high school in 2357, Anastasiades faced something of a dilemma, and was torn between continuing his passion for acting, or enlisting in Starfleet. With regards to the latter, his father, Andreas had been operations officer aboard the U.S.S. Repulse until an accident on stardate 22208.34, which prompted him to return home to be closer to his family. Andreas told many stories of his time in Starfleet to his son, which had always invoked a feeling of awe in Dimitris. After taking a year out, Anastasiades decided on Starfleet, having been encouraged by his parents that his creative skills would be an asset to whichever crew he might end up serving with. With his aptitude for solving technical problems, Anastasiades enrolled at Starfleet Academy on stardate 36928.51 to study Engineering. Cadet Anastasiades was known to his classmates for being quite the joker, with his antics getting him into trouble on multiple occasions. One such incident occurred late in his second year, when he rigged the ventilation system in a friend’s dormitory to produce a foul-smelling gas, but accidentally released it throughout the entire building. Despite these minor behavioural issues and struggling with the more theoretical aspects of his course, Anastasiades particularly shone in practical matters. During his time at the Academy, Cadet Anastasiades excelled in the field of power transfer mechanics. Furthermore, he was able to continue performing as a member of various theatrical groups whilst at the Academy. Having graduated from Starfleet Academy on stardate 40345.55, Ensign Anastasiades was posted to the Utopia Planitia shipyards on Mars, where he worked as part of a relief construction team for the new Galaxy-class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. Upon the completion and launch of the Enterprise, however, Anastasiades was assigned to the U.S.S. Boston NCC-26163, where he currently serves as a systems engineer.
