Foziin (pl. Fozii), homeworld Fozi’a (formerly Tath)
Post-Schism
Drifting above the hellscape of Fozi’a in their floating, sealed cities, the Fozii devote their lives to the acquisition and protection of knowledge in all forms.
Physical Appearance
As a result of actions during the Schism, the Fozii lost the majority of their population. Those remaining were largely incapable of producing children, and the Fozii turned in desperation to genetics… and cloning. As such, all current Fozii are identical clones; 170cm (5’7”) tall with tanned skin, blue eyes and dark red hair (the latter of which can vary with dyes). They have U-shaped ridges down the bridge of their nose, and an M-shaped set on their forehead, at the top of which are two short antennae. They are outwardly female in appearance.
Abilities
Psionic:
All Fozii are created with inherent psionic abilities, rating around 3-2-4-1 on the KEPH scale (See: Psionic KEPH Scale under Tathi Accord)
Senses:
Like all Tathi, the Fozii can see visible and ultraviolet light, with a slightly better field of view than humans, and no blind spots. They can see further than the Nothara, but aren’t quite as quick to pick out small movements. Their hearing is sharper than that of most humans, as are their senses of smell and touch.
Strength, Flexibility and Stamina:
Fozii are about on par with Vulcans when it comes to physical prowess, but rely mostly on superior tactics and speed in a fight.
Genetic Modification:
Over the decades of cloning procedures, the Fozii have become adept at tinkering with the genetics of future generations. As such, Fozii destined for specific careers have certain enhancements such as reinforced bone structure, denser muscles or heightened visual acuity. They can also add cybernetics to further improve their skills.
Culture
Never straying far from their ancient principals and duties, the Fozii have continued their roles as guardians. Now, however, their focus is on knowledge. Their cities hover above the volcanic landscape of their planet, massive networks of enclosed structures, each built individually for their own purpose before being attached to the others. At the very centre of this carefully organised network of pods is the largest library in the known galaxy – guarded by forcefields, blast doors, shield arrays, weapons emplacements and the Foziin Honour Guard. Within its transparent walls are shelves of books from cultures both current and long-dead, artefacts of unknown civilisations, digital records from all over the galaxy.
Once ‘born’, a Foziin is given a number designation and tasked to begin training in their chosen field. Warriors and guards are sent to train in combat and tactics. Researchers learn languages, cultures and diplomacy. Scribes learn how to note down everything they see and experience. Librarians learn how to play the Great Library like an instrument; categorising, storing and retrieving information with ease. Observers learn stealth and the benefit of being unnoticed. Engineers and Scientists learn much the same things taught at Starfleet Academy. Architects learn how to create other clones.
As their society is entirely made of clones, they rely on a hierarchy of experience. They have a council formed of the eldest member of each field, who make all the major decisions that require input from more than one field. Due to their famed impartiality and sense of justice, this council also oversee most criminal cases within Accord space. The Fozii also form the core of the Tathi fleets, taking on the roles of Fleetmasters.
Of course, no one lives forever, and once a Foziin reaches the end of their life, they are given a reverential ceremony, before being placed in a pod and sent down to the surface, to be consumed by the planet they call home.
